One evening, exhaustion settled over me like a heavy silk cloak. I sat alone, the room still, my mind roaring with doubts and questions. And then, soft as a sigh, it came: What if you stopped searching and started listening?

I began turning inward, tentatively at first, through meditation, journaling, and brutally honest self-reflection. Layer by layer, I peeled away the stories I had been told about who I should be, until what remained was startling in its simplicity: the real me. Untamed. Unperformed. Unapologetic.
The road wasn’t smooth. There were nights I found myself face-down in tears, questioning if I was losing my mind. Days when the siren song of external validation tried to pull me back into old ways.
But in those raw, trembling moments, I was met, by people whose faith in me stitched my heart back together. Their voices said, You’re going to be okay, until I could say it myself.
One of the bravest choices I made was sharing my journey through The Joanne Genoza Podcast. I spoke unpolished, unfiltered, in my own imperfect cadence trusting the energy behind the words more than the words themselves. I didn’t chase numbers; I created connection.
